Maura Davies of the SPCA of Texas joins us on Furry, Furbulous Friday with some great news for pets! Dallas has finally passed the Humane Pet Store Ordinance to ban puppy and kitten sales in pet stores! This is a huge win towards ending puppy mills and kill shelters. You can help, too! Please always spay and neuter your pet, and please adopt, volunteer or foster at your local shelter. Anything you do will help save an animal’s life.
Autumn Connolly joins Bern to talk about how to “turn your life into a practice.” It’s the idea where you take the things you’re doing anyway (unloading a dishwasher, feeding pets) and treat them with the same focus you’d use in a yoga class or during a meditation. We’re all so busy, and sometimes life doesn’t give way for us to have a dedicated (lengthy) spiritual practice, but we can work it in if we are aware.
