Earl J. Campazzi, Jr., M.D. - “How To Find The Right Supplements: A Doctor’s Method for Knowing What Your Body Actually Needs” - Ep. 3167

Three out of four American adults take dietary supplements. Most have never tested for the thing they’re supplementing. We spend billions a year on bottles chosen from labels, influencers, and a friend’s recommendation — and most of us couldn’t say what any one of them is actually doing.

The Right Supplements is not another list of what to take. It’s a method: four questions you can out to any supplement, in any decade, using your own labs, your own genetics, and your own goals. Do I need this? What’s really in it? Is there solid evidence it works? And what is it likely to do for someone like me?

Dr. Earl Campazzi shows how the same tools that are reshaping medicine — your rest results, your wearable data, and used carefully, artificial intelligence — can finally pull the scattered pieces of your health into one clear picture. You’ll learn to audit the cabinet you already own, tell a trustworthy bottle from an expensive one, read the evidence like a sceptic, and walk into your doctor’s office with a sharper question than you’d have asked before.

The goal isn’t a particular number of bottles. It’s the ability to point to every one and say what it’s doing, why you started it, and when you’ll know if it’s still worth taking.

Earl J. Campazzi, Jr., M.D., specializes in Preventative Medicine. He holds four ABMS-recognized (American Board Medical Specialties) specialties and three master’s degrees, with a total of eleven years of postgraduate education.

Dr. Campazzi trained at Johns Hopkins, then practiced and taught at the Mayo Clinic. As a chief resident he moonlighted as the lone doctor covering nights and weekends at the Bethlehem Steel plant in Sparrows Point, Maryland.

He has since cared for patients of every description — factory workers, executives, elite athletes. The son of a police officer and a nurse, he has always had a fondness for caring for the people who make the country run. His approach to medicine is the one the book teaches: evidence-based and practical. Except in emergencies, he attentively listens to his patients and explains his recommendations.

Dr. Earl Campazzi and his wife, Julie, love living in Southeast Florida with their four dogs—Lilly, Fred, Ava, and Buster. When he isn’t practicing medicine, Earl exercises, plays golf and tennis, and writes. He and Julie rarely travel, largely on account of the dogs — especially Buster, who is seventeen and a half — but then enjoy it throughly when they do.
